RE: Purchase Pursuant to Cooperative Purchase for 2017 computer order for Information
Technology (IT) Division ($36,290.40)
BACKGROUND
This memo summarizes the 2017 computer order of our IT Division's annual lifecycle rotation program.
The IT Division's 2017 operating budget has funds allocated for this program.
ANALYSIS
The IT and Purchasing Division concluded the State of Wisconsin Contract with Vanguard Computers
Inc. (Contract # 505ENT-MI7-WICOMPUTER-05) offered the lowest price for our 2017 computer order
of 60 HP 600 G2 ProDesk desktops.
FISCAL IMPACT
This 2017 computer order will have a total fiscal impact of $36,290.40. Funding for these computers
would be charged to the IT Division operating budget A/N#: 100-0110-6550-0000.
RECOMMENDATION
Section 12-15 of the Municipal Code provides that subject to approval of the City Manager, cooperative
purchases pursuant to a contract with any other local, state or federal governmental unit or agency may
be made without following a competitive bidding or quotation process. In accordance with Section 12-
15 of the Municipal Code and because this cooperative purchase is in excess of $25,000, I am hereby
submitting a report of this purchase to the Common Council. If you have any questions on this
