RE: Engineering Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc.
(AECOM) / Structural Engineering Design and Construction -Related Services for
2017 Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) ($50,000)
The Department of Public Works requested a proposal from AECOM for structural engineering
design and construction -related services for the various projects in the 2017 CIP. This
agreement is intended for use as a general account agreement for engineering support services
to the City.
AECOM was chosen because of their knowledge of the City and vast experience with this type
of work for our previous programs. The work associated with this agreement is anticipated to
be complete by the fall of 2017. The cost of these services is estimated not to exceed $50,000, and
will be charged to the appropriate CIP budget sections, depending on which CIP project
requires the service to be performed. Funding is available in all of the accounts that may be
utilized for this agreement.
Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a
specialized nature, including engineering services, may be procured without the use of formal,
sealed quotes. In accordance with Section 12-16 of the Code, I am hereby submitting this report
regarding this engineering services agreement.
