FOR SANITARY SEWER LINING ($252,673.74) INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has heretofore advertised for bids for sanitary sewer lining mostly located between West 5 Avenue, West 15 Avenue, Michigan Street, thth and West Waukau Avenue; and WHEREAS, upon the opening and tabulation of bids, it appears that the following is the most advantageous bid: INSITUFORM TECHNOLOGIES USA, INC. 17988 Edison Avenue Chesterfield, MO 63005 Total Bid: $252,673.74 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the said bid is hereby accepted and the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same, all according to plans, specifications, and bid on file. Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works Y& DATE: November 3, 2016 RE: Award Bid for Public Works Contract No. 16 -30 Sanitary Sewer Lining Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. / ($252,673.74) BACKGROUND The purpose of this project is to restore existing sanitary and storm sewer mains, within the right -of -way, to a water- tight condition by inserting a lining inside the existing pipes or grouting to seal joints. The existing pavements above the sanitary sewer are in good condition and will not require replacement for an extended period of time. The majority of the work is located between West 51h Avenue, West 151h Avenue, Michigan Street, and West Waukau Avenue. ANALYSIS Engineering staff reviewed four bids. The low bid was received from Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. of Chesterfield, Missouri. The total bid is $252,673.74. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project is in the Storm Sewer and Sanitary Sewer Section of the 2016 Capital Improvement Program. Following is a summary of the available funds and the construction costs including engineering fees. Sanitary sewer lining is included as part of the Inflow and Infiltration removal project budget. $65,000 of the storm sewer funding will come from the 2016 Asphalt Mill & Overlay and the annual Concrete Repairs CIP project budgets. The remaining $15,000 of the storm sewer funding will come from the North Westfield Street project coming in under budget.
