HomeMy WebLinkAbout36. 16-397JULY 26, 2016 16-397 ORDINANCE FIRST READING (CARRIED 6-0LOST________ LAID OVER________ WITHDRAWN_______) PURPOSE: AUTHORIZING PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION FOR SUNRISE ESTATES SUBDIVISION; SOUTH 3400 BLOCK OF WEST 20 TH AVENUE (STAFF RECOMMENDS WAIVING THE RULES) INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AUTHORIZING PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION TO BE DONE BY THE CITY OF OSHKOSH WITHOUT SUBMITTING SAME FOR BIDS The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the sidewalk, street lighting and installation of terrace trees for the following named streets, pursuant to resolution adopted July 26, 2016, by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh is hereby authorized to be done directly by the appropriate departments of the City of Oshkosh, without submitting same for bids, according to the plans on file in the office of the City Engineer: Morningstar Lane Daybreak Lane SECTION 2. The City Manager shall keep an accurate account of the costs of said work including the necessary overhead expenses and upon completion of such work shall make a complete report thereof to the Common Council stating in detail the items of cost and the total cost of doing such work, all according to Section 62.15(14) of the Wisconsin Statutes; and upon completion of such work, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to transfer necessary funds from the Special Assessments Improvement Fund to the appropriate construction accounts. Please take notice that the City of Oshkosh enacted ordinance #16-397 Authorizing Public Construction, on July 26, 2016. The ordinance allows for public construction of sidewalks, street lighting and installation of terrace trees on and along Morningstar Lane and Daybreak Lane within the Sunrise Estates Subdivision in the City of Oshkosh.
