Home My WebLink About28. 16-389JULY 26, 2016 16 -389 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT/ UTILIZE OPERA HOUSE SQUARE & CITY STREETS FOR THE DOWNTOWN OSHKOSH WHOVILLE HOLIDAY EVENT / NOVEMBER 19, 2016 INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that approval is granted to Business Improvement District (Erica Mulloy) to utilize Opera House Square for ice sculptures and city streets for horse drawn carriage rides (carriage route: Market Street, Main Street, and Washington Avenue) on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for their Downtown Oshkosh Whoville Holiday event in accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following exceptions /conditions: A. An exception to the provisions of section 6 -6 of the Oshkosh Municipal code is granted to allow horses in city streets for the purpose of carriage rides. B. C. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer shall pay the City's actual costs for extraordinary services.
