SUBJECT: Recognition of the Historic Jackson Drive Neighborhood Association
The subject neighborhood association held a general membership meeting on Wednesday, April 27,
2016. Twenty-one attendees voted on neighborhood boundaries, a neighborhood name, and adopted
organizational by-laws, in accordance with the City’s Neighborhood Recognition Policy. The Historic
Jackson Drive Neighborhood Association’s (HJDNA) boundaries are as follows:
North: Murdock Avenue (south side only); South: Church Avenue (north side only); West: Jackson
Street, all properties with street frontage; East: Jackson Street, all properties with street frontage,
except those that lie in the 500 and 600 blocks (evenly numbered), which are currently part of the
Middle Village Neighborhood Association.
Upon the creation HJDNA, the number of recognized neighborhood associations in Oshkosh is now
twelve. City recognition will allow HJDNA to access funding through the Community Building &
Engagement Program to support neighborhood events, projects, and activities. In addition, HJDNA
will be eligible to apply for Great Neighborhoods funding to support capital improvements in their
neighborhood and property owners will be eligible to apply for financial housing incentive programs
available only to City of Oshkosh recognized neighborhood associations.
