Approve Initial Resolution for Special Assessments
Storm Sewer Laterals — Various Locations
BACKGROUND
This resolution is the initial resolution for allowing the City to assess abutting property owners for
improvements to be completed during the construction of mini storm sewers and storm laterals. The
assessable work will include storm sewer laterals (new and relay) and surface drains. During the
construction of the requested storm sewer laterals, these properties can be served.
ANALYSIS
The resolution allows City staff to proceed with preparing assessments for the abutting properties. A public
hearing needs to be held for properties that have not signed a waiver and a final resolution needs to be
approved by the Council prior the assessments being levied on the properties.
