The amendment was seconded by Mr . LaLond . Amendment carried , 5-0 .
The motion to grant the variance with the above noted conditions
carried, 5-0 . �
It was noted that if any condition was not met , the variance
would become 'null and void.
II. Appeal of Douglas Bresser, owner of the property at
- 316 Shorelane Street , proposes to construct a rear
- addition to his house on the above property that
� would be located 4 ' from the north property, line ,
whereas a 7 1/2 ' side yard setback is required.
As Mr. Bresser was not in attendance , they felt this item should
be laid over until he could appear before the Board to answer
any questions . Roland Miller was instructed to send a letter
to Mr. Bresser asking for his attendance at the next meeting.
Mr. Last. made a motion to lay this item over. The motion -was
seconded by Norman Miller. Motion carried , 5-0 .
III. Appeal of Constance Hildebrandt , owner of the property
at 803 Frederick Street , proposes to construc� an
unattached garage which would. be located 55 . 75 ' from
the West Lincoln Avenue property line , whereas a
60 ' setba�k is required .
Mr. Reimer explained that the property is located on -the northwest
corner of West Lincofin Avenue and Frederick Street_.- The appellant
proposes to construct- an unattached garage which would be located
55 . 75 ' from the front property line , whereas a 60 ' setback is
required.
Mr. LaLond questioned if the 2 ' 6" side yard set�ack meets the
requirements .
Mr. Reimer stated "yes . " He indicated that the garage could be
moved to within 2 1/2 ' from the__back .property line and still
not meet the front property setback requirement.
. Mr. LaLond made a motion to approve this appeal.
` Mr. Fischer seconded the motian. Motion carried , 5-0 .
IV. _ Apgeal of Leonard Lee, owner of the property at
1002 Merritt Avenue, proposes to �onstruct an
unattached garage which would be iocated 57 1/2 �
from the Merritt Avenue property line, whereas a
60 ' setback is required.

Mr. Reimer stated this appeal is similar to the previous one.
The property is located on the northeast corner of Merritt
Avenue and Grove Street . The lot is 80 ' deep. The appellant
proposes to construct an unattached garage which would be
located 57 1/2 ' from the front property line , whereas a 60 '
setback is required .
Mr. Carpenter asked where the driveway would be located.
. Mr. Lee stated the driveway would be off of Grove Street .
' Mr. Reimer questioned if the existing middle building will
be removed.
Mr. Lee answered , "yes . "
Mr. LaLond made a motion to approve this appeal.
Mr. Last seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0 .
V. Appeal by Robert Challoner, co-owner flf the property
at 505 S. Washburn Road , proposes to construct a�
ground sign which would be located 5 ' from the South
`� Washburn Road property line,whereas a 25 ' setback is
required .
Mr. �eimer stated the property in question :is located at 505
South Washburn Road and houses the Oshkosh Animal -Clini�. The
property is presently zoned �-2 , Light Commercial. The appellant -
proposes to construct a ground sign which would be located 5 '
from the Sou�h Washburn Road property line, whereas a 25 '
setback is required .
Mr. Challoner stated that. if the sign zaere_ sstback 25 ' , no
one coming froin the north would �e able to see it. The ' sign
will create no vision obstru�tion
Mr. Fischer �sked w::at setback requirements existed--in the .
Town of Algoma. �
, Roland -Miller stated he did not know what the Town of Algoma
• zoned the area and , therefore, did no� know the setback
, requirements . :
Mr. Last asked if the proposed sign meets all of the size
requirements. .
Mr. Reimer answered, "yes. "
Norman Miller made a motion to approve th�s appeal. ,
