RE: Change Order for South Park Restroom/Shelter Facility Construction Project
BACKGROUND
Change order #1 for South Park Restroom/Shelter Facility Construction project is scheduled for
consideration by the Common Council at the January 12,2016 meeting. The contract was originally
awarded to Cardinal Construction Company, Inc. of Fond du Lac, WI in October, 2015.
ANALYSIS
Change order#1 is a result of the discovery of unstable soils under the building area that needed to
be removed and replaced with compact stone materials.
FISCAL IMPACT
The original bid award of$312,122.00 will be increased by $3,390.00 from account #325-0610-
7214-07501. Funding from surplus CIP Parks projects.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend approval of the change order for the South Park Restroom/Shelter Facility Construction
Project in the amount of$3,390.00 to Cardinal Construction Company, Inc.
Respectfully Submitted, Approved:
