FINAL RESOLUTION vacating portion of alley located
between Washington and Winnebago Avenues
wHEP.EAS, pursuant to Section 66.296 (2) o£ the Wisconsin Statutes
£or 1971, the Common Council has heretofore initiated proceedings on
J�:re E, 19?4 at a regular meetir.y of the Ccm-,or. Ccuncil to tiacate
and discontinue the following described alley:
The Easterly Three Hundred (300) feet of the alley located
between Washington and Winnebago Avenues, and now extending
easterly a distance of 510 feet £rom Bowen Street to a dead
end in the Second Ward o£ the City of Oshkosh..
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the passage of such resolution has
been set by the Common Conncil, cJkiich hearing was set for 7:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on the
18th day of July,�1979 and written notice o£ such meeting was duly served
on the owners of all of the frontage of the lots and lands abutting
upon that portion thereo£ sought to be discontinued as provided by
law, and ,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held pursuant to said notice
at the time and place therefore fixed and all persons so served and
interested were then and there given an opportunity to be heard, and
- - WHEREAS, a proper notice of the pendency of said petition for
vacation and discontinuance a:,d map covzring the proposed vacation
� was duly filed in the of£ice of the xagister of Deeds £or Winnebago
County as required by the Wisconsin Statutes, and
WxEREAS, the lots and lands abutting on said alley affected' by
this resolution are all in the Second Ward, City of Oshkosh and
being described as £ollows:
The Easterly Three Hundred (300) feet of the alley located
between Washington and Winnebago Avenues, and now extending
easterly a distance of 510 feet from�Bowen Street to a dead
end, Second Ward, City of Oshkosh �
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ty the Common Council o£ the
City of Oshkosh that it is hereby declared that since public interest
reguires it, the £ollowing descrihed alley in the Second Ward, City
of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, is hereby vacated and
discontinued, reserving unto the City of Oshkosh the right to maintain,
service, repair, add or replace all sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water,
and gas mair.s and fittings in said vacated alley:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk record a certified
copy of this resolution accompanied with a map showing_ the location
of said vacated alley in the office of the Register of Deeds for
