HomeMy WebLinkAbout27307 / 74-14# 14 RESOLUTION NOV 7 �9�4 WHEREAS� the TELEPHONti PIONEERS OF AMERICA� is an organization which is composed of individuals whc have at least twenty-one (21) years of service in the telephone industry; and wHEREAS, the organization on a Sta*_e level has 5,410 members-- 2,945 of which are active members (still employed), and 2,465 members of which are life members (retired employees); and �. WHEREAS, the organization is interested and very involved in community services; and WHEREAS, because of their sincere desire to serve tlie City of Oshkosh, the local chapter, the Oshkosh Dairyland Council, generously donated monies to be u�ed toward the beautification and betterment of Red Arrow Park; and WHEREAS, through this donation, a local nursery provided and planted plants and shrubberies around the Red Arrow Monument which enhanr_ed the overall beauty of the oark land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh, that the OSHKOSH DAIRYLAND CHAPT�R, local chapter of the TELEPHONE PIONEERS OF F.MERICF�, is hereby commended for its interest in the development of the parks in our city. BE IT FORTHER RESOLVED that the citizens of the City of oshkosh express their gratitude to the fine members of this organization for their most worthwhile contribution towards our park project.
