ORDInA[yCE OF THE CITY OF OSHROSH REPEALING AND RECREATING SECTION 18-G2 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO ADVERTISE- P;GNTS ON PUBLIC OR PR'CVATE PROPERTY. The Common Council o£ the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 18-62 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code, which reads as follows, is hereby repealed: Nn person shall post paper or ar.y written or painted bill, notice cr advertisement on any part of the outez walls of any buildi.ng with.in the limics of 'the Cicy w�thout :i,-.s� having obtained the ccnsent of ttie owner thereof. SECTION 2. That Section 18-62 of the Ushkosh MUnicipal Code is hereby recreated to read as follows: 18-62 - Advertisements Upon Public or Private Property — Prohibited. (a) No person, firm, corporation or organization shall place in any manner any commercial advertising material upon any public property or in any street, alley, or public grounds, or upon any private property situated and fixed in any street, alley or public ground. (b) No person, fixm, corporation or organization shall place any commercial advertising material upon any private property except in compliance with the following: (1) Any plastic bag used in distribution shall be a a r.�.inintim of. lmm in thickness and shall have a minimum of 2G holes, eacn at leae�: i/, inch in di_am*_er.; (2) No toxic material or material injurious to health sha17. be distributed; (3) All unclaimed material shall be collected by the distr.ibutor or his agent by 6:00 P.M. on the day £ollowing the day o£ distribution; � (4) No distribution of such :naterial shall be made to any private dwelling if the owner or occupant thereof gives n�tice in any reasonable manner that he does not wish to� � receive such material. ' (5) Every distribution of commercial advertising material sha11 include the name, address, and telephone number of person, firm, corporation or organization responsible £or such distribution. (c) This section shall not apply to the posting of notices required by law nor to materials distributed through the mail. SP•.CTIGN 3.
