INITIAL RESOLUTION - CONCRETE PAVING OF SEVERAL STREETS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh as
follows:
1. The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh hereby declares
its intention to exercise its power under Section 66.60 of the Wis-
consin Statutes to levy special assessments upon property within the
following described areas for benefits conferred upon such property by
improvement ef the following named streets:
CONCRETE PAVING
� 1. LEEWARD COURS - From Bowen Street east to the end of the
cul-de-sac.
2. WINDWARD COURT - From Bowen Street east to the end of the
cul-de-sac.
3. STARBOARD COURT - From Bowen Street east to the end of the
cul-de-sac. .
9. GREENWOOD COURT - From Bowen Street east to the end of the
cul-de-sac.
5. MALLARD AVENUE - From Bowen Street to Hazel Street.
6. EVANS STREET - From Murdock Avenue to Greenwood Court.
7. GROVE STREET - From Murdock Avenue to Greenwood Court.
8. OAK STREET - From Murdock Avenue to Mallard Avenue.
9. HAZEL STREET - From Murdock Avenue north to Lake Winnebago.
10. BEECH STREET - From Murdock Avenue to Linwood Avenue.
11. STILLWELL AVENUE - From Beech Street to Wisconsin Street.
12. GRUENWALD AVENUE - From Beech Street to Wisconsin Street �
13. VIOLA AVENUE - From Beech Street to Jackson Street.
19. WISCONSIN STREET - From Gruenwald Avenue to Linwood Avenue.
15. HUNTINGTON PLACE - From W. 9th Avenue to Cambridge Avenue.
16. DEVONSHIRE DRIVE - From Cambridge Avenue south to the end of
the cul-de-sac.
17. CAMBRIDGE AVENUE - From Devonshire Drive to Canterbury
Drive.
18. CANTERBURY DRIVE - From Cambridge Avenue to Kensington
Avenue.
19. KENSINGTON AVENUE - From Devonshire Drive to Mason Street.
20. ARMORY PLACE - From W. 9th Avenue to 120 feet south of
Crystal Springs Avenue.
21. WINDSOR STREET - From Armory Place to Crystal Springs Avenue.
22. REICHOW STREET - From W. 9th Avenue to Crystal Springs�AVenue.

MOREI.AND STREET - From Westfield Street to 120 feet south of
Crystal Springs Avenue.
CRYSTAL SPRINGS AVENUE - From Moreland Street to Armory
Place.
WEST 7TH AVENUE - From Reichow Street west to the end of the
cul-de-sac.
WEST 6TH AVENUE - From Riechow Street west to the end oi the
cul-de-sac.
BISMARCK AVENUE - From Reichow Street west to the end. o£ the
cul-de-sac. ,
2. Said improvements shall consist of concrete paving as des-
cribed above and appurtenant work with concrete curb and gutter on
both sides o£ the street at a grade he=etofore established by special
ordinance of the City of Oshkosh.
3. Before such improvements are made, the Board of Public Works
is directed to cause water and sewer service pipes to be so laid in
said streets £rom the main to the curb line oP each lot fronting on
the said streets and to keep an accurate account of the expense in-
curred in iront of each lot and report the same to the Comptroller who
shall cause the amount charged to each lotrovidedenhoweve�n thattthe
roll as a special tax against said road, p
Board of Public Works shall not cause such laterals to be so laid foz
any particular lot or parcel where, in the opinion of the Board of
Public Works, it would be impractical to do so.
q. The total amount assessed against such district shall not
exceed the toarcel shall not bepgraatertthandtheebenefitsaaccrued
against any p
thereto from said improvements.
5, The assessments against any parcel may be paid according to
the provisions of Section 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal
Code.
6, The Board of Public Works is-directed to prepare a report
consisting of:
Final plans and specifications for said improvements.
An estimate of the entire cost of the improvements and
laterals. within the assess-
An estimate as to each parcel of property

(1) The assessment of benefits to be levied for each
improvement.
(2) The damages to be awarded for property taken or damages
by each improvement.
(3) The net amount of damages over benefits or of benefits
over damages for each improvement.

Upon completion o: such report, the Board of Public Works is
directed to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk's ofiice £or public
inspection.
7, The Wisconsin Yublic Service Corporation of Oshkosh, Wis-
consin, is hereby required to install gas mains in said streetc and
service laterals at such intervals as the Board of Public Works shall
direct; said work to be completed prior to the improvemeof thisaid
streets. The City Clerk shall forward a certified copy
resolution to said corporation forthwith.

B. The Board of Public Works nnd the proper City officials
shall do all things necessary so as to complete the installation of
storm sewer in said street prior to the improvements thereof.
9. The installation of said street improvements shall be
accomplished according to the provisins of Section 25-3 thru 25-11 of
the Oshkosh Municipal Code. �
10. Upon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, the
City Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such
report as specified in Section 66.60 (7) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The hearing shall be held by the Board of Public Works in the Council
Ckiambers in the City Hall at a time set by the Clerk in accordance
with Section 66.60 (7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. .
