One (1) unit shall be installed in each of the two (2) altitude valve manholes. Each pump sha11 have a capaci�t;y of 20 GPI•i at 19 feet of head.. Pump �uotor shall be lf3 f�P, single-phase, 120 volt, with built-in thermal overload protection and remote switch control.. Surnp ptunp piping and fittings shall be made.of galvanized iron pipe with screwed connections and shall be pitched to drain back to the sump. Piping at the new tower shall run under�round from the manholes to the overflow pipe location and rise and connect to the overflow pipe with a rising loop.U- bend. Piping at the existing tower shall discharge to the surface with a U-bend and screen. Piping sha11 be 1-1/�+" diameLer. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION EQUIPI��NT REQUIRED AT BOTH THE EXISTING AND�NEW TOWE�R Insulation The complete underside of the top deck and hatch of both manholes shall be insulated with.2" thick styrofoam rigid insulation. SumL The conerete sump in each altitude valve manhole shall be increased from 12" to 1£3" diameter and shall be 18" deep.
