The Common Council of the City of Oahkash da ordain as follows:
SECTION I, That Section 27-55.1 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor
vehicle the gross tiaeight of which shall exceed 6,Q00 pounds upan
any public street in the City except those particularly set forth
in subsection {a) above, as the heavy traffic route, provided,

A GENERAL ORDTNANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH CREATING SECTION 27-55.1
OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO TRUCK ROUTES.
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 27-55.1 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code
is hereby created to read as follows:
Sec. 27-55.1. Designated Truck Route
No person shall drive or operate any motor truck, truck tractor,
tractor, trailer or ser:li-trailer, used in connection therewith,
on any city street except on the following designated streets:
Knapp Street - Twentieth Avenue to Ninth Avenue
Twentieth Street - Highway 44 to Oregon Street
Ninth Avenue - Highway 41 to Main Street
Witzel Avenue - Highway 41 to Ohio Street
Oshkosh-Congress Avenue - Highway 41 to Highway 110
Aiurdock Avenue - Highway 110 to Harrison Street
Highway 110 (Algoma Boulevard) North City Limits to Congress Avenue
Jackson Street and Oregon Street - North City Limits to South
City Limits
Twenty-fourth Avenue - Oregon Street to Main Street
Doty Street - Twenty-fourth Avenue to East City Limits
Harrison Street - North City Limits to New York Avenue
Main Street - Ceape Avenue to Doty Street
Main Street - New York Avenue to Irving Avenue
Ohio 5treet - Ninth Avenue to Wisconsin Street
Wisconsin Street - Ohio Street to Irving Avenue
Irving Avenue - Wisconsin Street to Main Street

WEIGHT LIMITS AND HEAVY TRAFFIC ROUTES
(1) Truck Routes Designated. Pursuant to Se�tion 349�17 0� the
Wisconsin Statutes, the following streets and highways are
declared to be truck routes:
Twentieth Street - Highway 44 to Oregon Street
Ninth Street - Highway 41 to Main Street
Witzel Avenue - Highway 41 to Ohio Str�et
Oshkosh Avenue - Highway 41 to Highway 110
Murdock Avenue - Highway 110 to Harrison '`��
Highway 110(Algoma Blvd.) - North City Limits to Congress Avenue
Jackson & Oregon Sts .- North City Limits to Sou�ig; .l�C�ity Limits
Twenty-fourth Avenue - Jackson & Oregon Sts. to 31 Street

(2) TRUCKS PERMITTED ON HEAVY__TRAFFIC ROUTES
All trucks and loads otherwise permitted under the weight and load
restrictions of Chapter 348 of the Wisconsin Statutes which sections
are hereby adopted by way of reference thereto so far as applicable
shall be allowed to proceed on and travel over and along the heavy
�raffic routes set forth in subsection (1) above.
(3) HEAVY TRUCKS PROHIBITED ON OTHER STREETS.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle
the gross weight of which sha11 exceed 6,000 pounds upon any pub-
lic street in the city except those partieularly set forth in sub-
section (1) above, as the heavy traffic route, provided, however,
that nothing herein contained shall prohibit the ordinary use of
any public street or alley for the purpose of obtaining use of any
orders for and d�livering or moving supplies or other necessary
commodities to or from any place of business or residence fronting
on such highway or street, nor prohibit the use of any street or
alley for the purpose of arriving at such destination where such
order is to be taken or delivery is to be madej �n any excluded
street in arriving at any destination where orders are to be taken
or deliveries made, as above provided.
