PERTAINING TO DEFINITIONS OF THE ZONTNG ORDINANCE AND AMENDING SECTTQ�V
30-18 (b) (4) OF` THE OSHKOSH MUNICTPAL CODE PERTAINING TO USES FOR
SPECIAL PERMITS.

following: �
30. "Hospital". The �term "hospital`� means any k�uilding
� � structure, insitution or place which is devoted primarily to
i��s���6`Y�r°; the maintenance and operati.on of facilities fer th� diagnosis,
treatment of and medical or surgical care for individuals
suffering from illne�s, disease, injury or deformity and whic�
makes available clinical laboratory service, diagnostic x-ray
and treatment facilities far surgery or obstetrical care and
which is accredited as a hospital by the Joint Commission on
the Accreditation of Hospitals.
SECTION 2. That Secti�n 30-18 (b) (4} of the Oshkosh Municipal
Code pertaining to uses for which special permits may be secured i�
hereby amended by adding th�reto the following:

l. One parking space shall be provided
for each hospital bed.

2. Where the proposed parking lot
fronts c�n a street that constitutes
the boundary line between hospital
use and predominantly non-hospital
owned residential use (greater than
500 of the block frontage), the
parking lot shall have a setback of
not le�s than 15 feet. This
required setback shall be landscaped

shall contain a 6 foot high chain-
link fence of suitable gauge and
evergreen shrubbery of 60% opacity.
The parking lot setback shall be 5
feet where �he parking lat frants
on a street which is not predominantly
residential use as herein defined.
Such 5 foot setback �hall be landi
scaped with gra�s and other plantings.
In the requirec� setback areas, the
exist�.ng deciduous and evergreen
trees with a tr�r�k dian�eter af 8
inches or mor�, 3 feet above ground
1ine, taiil be re�aineci.
3. �Vhere the proposed parking lo�

hospi.tal owne� residei,ce, a 3 faat
side yard setback and rear �ard
setback shall b� providec�. In such
setback� a 6 foot chain-link fence
of suitable gauge and evergreen
shrubbery of 60% apacity shall be
provided.
4: Where evergreen shrubbery is required,
it shall have a minimum height of
four (4) feet at the ti.me of p�.anting
and sha11 be located on the required
setback line between the nearest
property line and the requi�-ed
fence.
5. The required chain link fence and
evergreen shrubbery shall conform
to Sec�±-�_o?? 30•-lg r�? (? ) xei a±�ir�
to vision clearance.
6. Proposed ingress and egress points
shaZl be reviewed for approval or
denial by the Directar of Public
Works to insure compliance with
traffic engineerin� and safety
standards.
7. The proposed parking lot shall
conform with a11 pravisions of
Section 30-20 (b) (5), (c) (2},
(c) (3) , (c) (4) , and (c) (6) .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and date of publication.
