BE IT RESOLVED b� the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh
that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed
to waive bids and purchase two (2) new filter belts for the Sewage
Treatment Plant from Envirotech, 301 South Hicks Road, Palatine,
Illinois 60067 at a purchase price of $565 each for nylong 527F
=ilter belts. Money for this purpose is hereby appropriated from
hccount Na. 941 369, Repair, Sewer Utility.

SUBJECT: VACUUM FILTER BELTS
At this time all available vacuum filter belts have been placed in operation leaving
no spare belts on hand. One filter belt should have an effective life of about
three months while the other is estimated to last about three weeks. Therefore,
in order to maintain continuous solids handling operations and to avoid the problems
associated with reduced solids handling capacity, two (2) new filter belts should
be ordered immediately.
Prices have been obtained from two manufactures of filter belts with the quotations
based on the same specifications. The National Filter Media Corporation quoted
$618.00 each. Envirotech quoted $565.00 each. Shipping costs are not included.
Therefore, I recommend the purchase of two (2) nylon, 527F filter belts from
Envirotech, 301 South Hicks Road, Palatine, Illinois, 60067.
Since delivery time is six weeks from receipt of order, this order should be placed
as soon as pe�sible. If you have any questions, please contact me.
