Rec:ommend that the Kustom Rada TR 6 be acqu:Lred for the following
re<isons ;
l. Simpliciy of Unit, will riot necessitatl having to school
Officers in its operation, as the depar#ment has a similar
unit in use.
;?. Three controls makes this "simplified" s compared to other
units that have as many aa six controls
3. The Decatur models, are minufactured by the same company
that the Police Department purchased their Radar years ago, and
had a very high degree "Dawn Time" for tleeded repairs--and
their down time extended from a month tt 6 weeks while awaiting
repairs, and when unit was returned it :sometimes only functioned
for a couple of hours, then unit again lyroke down.
+. Kustom Radar includes shipping costs an3 labor in 2 year rranty.
a. Past experience has shown Kustom Radr to give rapid service
and positive repair to our present Krsstom Radar. (we have no
complaints about the Unit we presenty own and operate.) This
unit was purchased over 7 years ago taith a very minimal down
time for repair.
b. Recommend that a Kustom Radar TR 6 ble purchased to supplement
our present Rada (we have only 1 otlZer unit.)
