TRA£FIC REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1977
MEMBERS PRESENT: Roland Miller, Gerald Konrad, Captain Frank Burgert
Ed Potempa
AGENDA
I. Discussion of intersection of 20th Avenue and Arizona Street.
II.
II.
The Traffic Review Committee noted that the request cited a
visicrn problem caused by the outdoor decorations in front of
the A,nchor Inn (ladder, anchor, etc.). This is creating a semi-
visicn problem for cars of not being able to see down the street.
Mr. Miller stated that there had been a proposal to vacate
Arizc>na Street by Mr. C. i. Deniger. Realizing that a decision
eithr way would have a ba.rring on what is done by the Traffic
Review Com.m3ttee, it was ecided that this item be laid over and
Deniger's legal representative be contacted. Findings of this
matter will be reported ba.ck at the next meeting.
Discussion of intersection. of Main Street and Algoma Boulevard-
Washington Avenue.
The Traffic Review Committee referred to an article in the Oshkosh
Daily Northwestern as to the problem of the intersection of Main
Street and Algoma Boulevard-Washington Avenue. When two buses
are stopped at the southwest corner of the intersection at one
time, the second one protrudes into theAlgoma right of way. This
is a hazard to pedestrains who may be crossing Algoma, as turning
vehicles have no view of them. Therefore, the Traffic Review
Committee recommends the removal of parking meter #1430, in order
that the bus is no lon er blockin a art of the street

have been avoided if vision clearance was better. Therefore, the
Traffic Review Committee reco en emov f arkin on the
westerly si e o Aloma Baulevard from, the intersection o Vine
nue and Algoma Boulevard, southerly,,55 feet.
ZV. Discussion of the interseation of Oregon Street and South Park Avenue.
The Traffic Review Committ:ee noted that a request from Stan Rickert
had been received requesting the elimination of parking on the east
side of Oregon Street, south of South Park Avenue. The request
indicated that this parking restriction would provide a right on
red turning movement. The Committee stated that the north bound
traffic would also be able to use the right lane when the inter-
section is congested due o a left turn onto South Park Avenue.
The Traffic Review Commitee recommends that no parking be allowed
on the east side of Oregon Street, from South Park Avenue to SO
feet south of So:.`h Park Avenue.
