These fire stations were built in 1997, 1998 and 1999 respectfully. Even with the installation of exhaust capturing equipment the interior bays and doors have faded and become stained over time from diesel soot and fumes. They are in great need of being repainted. The bid specifications called for the bays and doors of all three stations (8 overhead doors and three bays) to be cleaned, primed and repainted. ANALYSIS Working in conjunction with the Fire Department staff, Purchasing reviewed and prepared bid specifications seeking vendors for this scope of work. The bid was advertised in the local paper. Bids were due on September 15, 2015. The bid tab is attached. Purchasing and Fire Department staff reviewed the sole bid received and concluded NJC Painting Inc. met the minimum bid specifications.
