REPORTS Governance No meeting was held in July. Cynthia made sure everyone had received the board survey results. It was decided the meeting for August would be cancelled but the Governance Committee will resume in September. Cynthia reminded everyone there is one seat remaining vacant on the board, this individual must be a city resident. After a brief discussion regarding the representative to the Friends, it was determined the Advisory Board officers (Chair and Vice Chair) are not allowed to be representatives per the Advisory Board Bylaws. Therefore we are still seeking board members to attend the September and October FOSC Board meetings as Advisory Board representatives. Mark stated that he would like the board to discuss potential new meeting times. After some discussion it was suggested to move the Monday meetings to 3 or 4 p.m. Mark will contact Sue Gullickson for her input. Committee on Aging (COA) No meeting in June or July. Xandy reported there is a meeting scheduled for August and they will have Deb Allison-Aasby, City Council Member present as she has been appointed the Council representative to the Committee on Aging. Health No report. Fundraising No report. Finance No report. Friends of the Oshkosh Seniors Center Board Ann Marie reported there are now 1009 Supporters and 132 Life Members. This is the highest ever. She also reported the FOSC Board also has one vacant position and will have three additional come January due to term limits. Sandra Reeser, FOSC Board member was going to reach out to Leadership Oshkosh for potential board candidates. Ann Marie stated the Friends are asking anyone interested in leading a Fundraiser or who has an idea for a large fundraiser to bring those ideas to the board before moving forward. This is in an effort to be more strategic around the types and number of fundraisers they are involved in. Ann Marie reminded everyone to sell their raffle tickets!
