Dear Mr. Eichstadt:
On November 24, 1999, the City of Oshkosh Board of Appeals approved your variance to construct a
9'8" x 17'4" addition to a commercial structure with a 22 ft. front yard setback from W. Murdock Ave.
and a 12'2" front yard setback from Vinland St. with the following conditions: (1) The asphalt between
the building and Murdock Ave., and the building and Vinland St., be removed and landscaping installed
in this area per a landscape plan approved by the Dept. of Community Development. (2) The area
between the new parking spaces on the west side of the building and Murdock Ave., as well as the
transitional yard on the west side of the property, be landscaped per a landscape plan approved by the
Dept. of Community Development, with said plan to provide screening for the parking per Section 30-
35(I)(2) of the Zoning Ordinance.
The decision of the Board was filed in the Planning Services Division Office of the Department of
Community Development on November 29, 1999. Per Section 30-6(C)(3) and (4) of the City of
Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance, your variance will expire on May 24,2000 unless you have obtained a
permit for the activity allowed by the variance. If you fail to get a permit by this date, you must
reapply for a variance if you intend to go ahead with the activity allowed by the variance.
Building permits may be applied for from the Inspection Services Division in Room 205 at the Oshkosh
City Hall between 7:30 - 8:30 AM and 12:30 - 1:30 PM, Monday thru Friday, or call (920) 236-5050 for
an appointment. Please bring all required building plans and information necessary for review when
obtaining your building permit.
