No. 561-2010-1799-00000 Storm Utility – Construction in Progress OJHKOJH ON THE WATER MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Corn ;41 Council Council FROM: James Rabe, Civil Engineering Supervisor" DATE: September 3, 2015 RE: Amendment to Engineering Services Agreement Campbell Creek Detention Basins Storm Water Modeling and Design AECOM/$6,000 BACKGROUND A professional services agreement for storm water modeling and design services with AECOM was reported to the Common Council on October 26, 2010. The contract was previously amended to include additional modeling and design services during the permitting of the Armory Area Detention Basin and the 9th and Washburn Area Detention Basin. During the course of performing the services within this contract, additional services became necessary in order to complete the design and permitting for the Armory Area Detention Basin. ANALYSIS The additional services provided by AECOM include the development of an Operation and Maintenance Plan for the Armory Area Detention Basin. These services were necessary due to the fact that the WDNR required this project to be permitted as a dam. FISCAL IMPACT Staff has reviewed the amendment and costs. The amount of this contract amendment is $6,000. This will raise the total contract amount to $545,441 (not to exceed). These services will be funded through the Storm Water Utility. Funds are available within the Storm Water Capital Improvements Program for these additional services. RECOMMENDATIONS Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a specialized nature, including engineering services, may be procured without the use of formal, sealed quotes. I have reviewed this amendment and in accordance with Section 12-16 of the Code, I am hereby recommending that the Common Council approve the award of this engineering services amendment.
