Oshkosn, 4Tisconsin 54901
Izr Mr. Hebert:
As you ]mow, the City Coimcil considered your application for
renewal of your Combination Class (B) Licvse to operate Judy's
Gin Mill at 1029 South Dlain Strt, at the June 21, 1979,
Cotmcil meeting.
At the Cotmcil ireetirxJ, the Coimcil expressed their croncern
about receiving manp co-laints about disturbances in or
aroimd the prnises.
You left the meti beore the City Coimcil forr.ially acted on
the license renec+ral and this letter is to inform you that the
Coimcil approved of the license renewal but they did instruct
me to write you to eress tleir concern and rauest you to
take whateer action you can to keep down the disturbances in
or outside the prnises so that they do noti receive the com-
plaints from the neighbors tnat they evidently have been.
Obviously, the Gity Cotcil isolated your license before re-
newing it this time anci a continuation of cclaints from the
neighbors might sabject you ta sir.dlar iriiries before the
license is renewed next year. I slmuld also point out that the
Cotmcil can revoke your licnse, following a hearing, at any
time if the Coimcil has good and sufficient reasan tn do so.
Ttierefore, I urye you to take whatever steps you can to keep
docan the source of the colaints from the neiqhbcrhood.
VeYy i'uly yours,
