HomeMy WebLinkAbout30824 / 80-21July 3, 1980 PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: f� 21 RESOLUTION FSNAL RESOLUTION FOR GRADING AND GRAVELING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHERAS, t:�e owner of the property waived notice of special assessment and hearing pursusnt to Wisconsin Statutes, Sec. 66.60 and 66.64, for the purpose of hearing all intererested persons coacerning the preliminary resolution and report of the City Atanager (Soard of Public Works) on the proposed improvements consisting of sewer, water, gcading and gtaveling, and high type street improve- menta and appu:tenaat uor�c, pursuant to the Initial Fesalution adopte3 on Ju1y 3, 1980 by the Oshicosh Common Council for the following named street: GRADING AND GRAVELLNG UNNAMED EAST-[JEST STREET located approximately 1600 feet south of West 20th Avenue, from South Washburn Street west 2130 feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh as folLows: 1. That the report of the City Manager, acting as the Board of Public Works, pertaining to the construction of the above descr.ibed public improve- sents, including plans and specifications therefore, is hereby adopted and approved with the following modifications: a. b. c. 2. That the acCion of the City Manager in advertising for bids and to caszy oui the woxk of such improvements in accardance with the report of the Ciiy :ySan�;;er an3 in accord2ace with ihe sai3 resol�tions heretofore adogted, is hereby approved, ratified and conf3rmed. 3. That payment Eor said improvements be made by assessing tfie coat of the prop�rty benefited as indicated in said report, except as modif.ied herein. 4. That the benetits and damages shocm on the report as modified axe true and correct and are hereUy confirmed. 5. That the assessments for all projects included in said report are hereby combiaed as a single assessment but any interested property owner shall be entitled to object to each assessment sepazately or both assessments jointly for any purpose or purposes. - 21 - - 21A - 6. That the assessments may be paid in cash, or in installments pursuant to Section 25�83 thru 25-II9 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code. Said deferred payments to bear interest at the r.ate of eight percent (8�) per annum on the unpaid balance. The City Clerk shall publish an installment assessment notice in accordance with Section 66.54 (7) (e) of the Wisconsin Statutes for 1975 in the official newspaper of the City. 7. The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in the official newspaper of the City, the OSHKOSH DAILY NORTHWESTERN. 8.
