Home My WebLink About30908 / 80-08A1September G, 1980 PURPOSE: S�T IE�Y REQUIREMENTS INITIATE� nY: SCHOOL BOARD # 8A-2 P,ESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Board of Education or the Oshkosh Area School District has heretofore prepared, recomnended and submitted to the Common Council and the Town Chairmen of the Towns of Algoma, Black Wolf, Nekimi, Oshkosh, Utica, and Vinland, a budget for the City of Oshkosh and for the area attached to the City of Oshkosh for school purposes for the years 1980-1981, in accordance with the statutes a�d ordinances in such case made and provided; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held in the Council Cfiambers in the City Hall, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at 8:00 P.M., August 21, 1980, oursuant to a duly published nctice of said hearing, a summary of such budget havinq been duly published in the official city newspaper at least fifteen (15) deys prior to the time of such hearing; and WHEREAS, the Common Council and the Town Chairmen convened at a Special Meeting duly noticed and called for the purpose of consideri�� ;:id budget and adopting same and fixing and.adopting a tax levy based there:;n and at said Special Meeting adopted a resolution providing and adopting said budget for the years 1980-1981, after making such changes therein as were approved by the proper number of votes, and thereupon directed the proper City Officials to prepare this resolution; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh and the Town Chairmen having adopted said budqet for the Cit,y of Oshkosh and the area attached to the said City for school purposes only for the years 1980-1981 now desire to levy the necessary taxes and provide the monies required by said budget. NOW, THFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh and the said Town Chairmen as and for the school budget that there be and there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property, real and personal, in the City of Osfikosh, as shown by tne assessment rolls of said City of Oshkosh for the year 1980, and upon all of the taxable property, real and personal, in that portions of the Towns of Algoma, Black Wolf, Nekimi, Oshkosh, Utica, and V�nland, which is attached to the City of Oshkosh for school purposes only, as shown by the assessment rolls of said Towns for the year 1980 pursuant to 5ection 120-53 of the Wiscensin Statutes and according to the laws of the State of Wisconsin, the following tax, to-wTt: - 8A-2 Ca) - OSHKOSH Ar".EF SCHOOL DISTRICT Operation Debt Service Recre��ion Dept.
