Following are our comments: 1. To furnish and install ZS additional building sign letters you have quoted a price of $805.18. We feel that the cost of . the letters at $350.00 and the overhead of 556.18 are both fair. Zt appears that the installation cost of $399.00 is excessive! That comes to about $16.00/letter, which is about 40 minutes labor per letter. At this rate it will take one man two days to install these letters, which seems like a lot of time. Piease take a second look at this installation cost. 2. You are requesting an extra of $375.90 for the additional concrete footing depth required at the northeast corner of the IIus wash. We realize that this is a justified extra based on the soil conditions, which required 18" additional footing depth. A chanqe order will be written at a future date including this item. I£ any situations such as this arise in the future, our office must be made aware of the change rp ior to your firm performing the additional work. Pollowiny is a new request: 1. In the area of the new north drive, just east of Knapp St., a continually wet area is present. Mr, Kienast indicated that a quit� large area of muck was present when he excavated for thu road. The Sanitation trucks have been burying their wheels in tiiis 3rea. We talked to Mr. Kienast and told him that after hc �;�,ts caught up with his demolition work, hc should dig somc tcst holus in this area to see the extent of the problem. Due to the fact that Kienast's work is one of your subcontracts, any changes will have to be coordinated thru your firm. Please cont�ct i:ienast and schedule a time to dig some test pits in the are� of concern. This should be done after our current wet spell subsides.
