HomeMy WebLinkAbout30950 / 80-260 Septembet 18, 1980 # 2C BESOLUTION PURPOSE: FZYAL RESOLUTION CONSISTTNG OF S�vITAftY SEtdERS, WATER MAINS, GRADZNG AND GR2.VELIYG, AND PERi�ANENT STREETS WITH CONCRBTE CURBS LNITIATED BY: DEPA2T�SENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHEc2EAS, the owners of the property waived notice of special assesseient and hearing pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 66.60 for the purpose of hearing all interested persons concerning the preliminary resolution and report of the City bfanager (Board of Public Works) on the proposed improvements consisting of sanitary sewer, water mains, grading and graveling, and pe�anent streets with concrete curbs, pursuant to the initial tesolution adopted on September 18, 1980 by the Oshkosh Common Council for the following named streets: SANITARY SEWERS 1. DOCTORS COURT - from Bowen Street west and north 650 feet 2. �SORELAND STREET - from 120 feet south of Crystal Springs to 420 feet south of Crystal Springs SJATER :�fAINS 1, DOCTORS COURT - from Bowzn Street wesL and north 650 feet 2, MORELAND STREET - from 120 feet south of Crystal Springs to 420 feet south of Crystal Springs 3. EAST SMITH AVENUE - Fram Bowen Street west 430 feet NOW, THERSFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows: - 26F - 1. That the report of the City ?fanager, acting as the Board of Public Works, pertaining to the construction of the above described public i.mprove- mants, including plans and specifications therafore, is her�by adopted and approved with the following modifications: a. b. c. 2. That the action of the City Manager in advertising for bids and to carry out the wor'� of such improvements in accordance with the report of the City �fanager and in accordance c,*ith the said resolutions heretofore adopted, is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed. 3. That payment for said improvements be made by assessing the cost of the nrooerty benefited as indicated in said raporL, �xcept as �odified herei¢. 4. That the benefits and damages shown on the report as modified are true and correct and are hereby confirmed. 5. That the assessments for all projects included iu said report are hereby combined as a single assessment hut any interested property owner shall be entitled to object to each assessment separately or both assessments jointly for any purpose or purposes. 6, That the assessments coay be paid in cash, or in installments pursuant to Section 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code. Said deferred paymznts to bear interest at the rate of eioht percent (8%) per annum on the unpaid balance. Tha City Clerk shall publish an installment assessment notice in accordance with Section 60.54 (7) (a) of the [disconsin Statutes for 1975 in the official newspaper of the City. 7, The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in the official newspaper of the City, the OSHKOSH DAILY NORTHWESTERN. 8. The City Clerk is further directed to mail a copy of this resolution to every property owner whose name appears on t4e assessment roll ahose post office address is known or can with reasonable diligence be ascertained.
