A C�IERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING UARIOLIS POIZPIONS OF (IiAPTER 24 OF
Tf� QSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PEHI'AINING TO SEWERS
The Comron Coimcil of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SEGTION 1. That Section 24-6.3(I) is hereby arrended by adding thereto the
fcllaaing:
...Any industry �,; ring pretreat�nt shall �reet with
the co�liance schedule for installing pretreatr�nt
facilities and �eting pretreatrrent standards as set
forth by the 1��proving Authority.
SECTION 2. That Section 24-6.8 is hereby arcerxled by adding thereto the
follaaing:
(E) Injimctive Relief
In addition to all other rerredies, t'�e City shall have
the authority to seek injtmction relief against anvone
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance and
it shall have the autharity to recruire the violator to
disconnect fram the sewage system for failure to
co�ly with the ordinance.
SEGTION 3. That Section 24-6.3(H), pertaining to Waste Sa�ling is hereby
airended by adding thereto the follaaing:
...Should the industrial waste discharc�r at any ti�, for
any reason, refuse to allaa inspection of the records relati.ng
to industrial discharges, then the Approving Authority is
hereby expressly authorized to seek a Special Inspection Warrant
under Section 66.122 of the Wiscronsin Statutes.
SECTION 4. That Section 24-6.7(A), pertaining to Ric�t of Entry, is hereby
amended by adding thereto the follaaing:
...If the ric�t o£ entry as herein speci£ically granted
is refused, then the Apnroviny Authority is hereby expressly
authorized to seek a Special Ins�ction Warrant under Section
66.122 of the Wisconsin Statutes.

SEGTION 5. That Section 24-6.1(18), nertai_ning to Definitions - Sanitary
Sewage, is hereby recreatecl to read as follows:
(18) SANITAI� SEWAGE shall irean the type of waste
nornally discharged from plLmbi.ng facilities
in orivate dwellings inclu3ing, but not limited tn,
sanitary, bath, laimdry, dishwashing, garbage
disposal and cleaning wastes.
SF.,(.TION 6. That Section 24-6.3(C) , pertaining to Ind�trial DischargPS,
is hereby a�nded to read as follows:
(C) Industrial Discharges•
If any waters or wastes are ci:.scharged, �r pr.opczsed
to be nischarged to the public sewers, which waters
or wastes contain substances or pc�ssess the characteristics
ernurerated in Section 24-6.2 or which in the judq�nt of
the Approving Authority, m�y have deleterious effect
upon the sewage works, processes, equip�mnt, or receiving
waters, or which othenvise create a hazard to life, health,
or constitute a p�lic nuisance, the Approving Authority
may:
(1} I�ject the wastes
(2) Require pretreat�nt to an acceptable condition for
discharc� to the public sewers
(3) Require control aver the quantities and rates of
discharge and/or
(4) Require payment to cover the added cost of handling arid
treatir.g the wastes not covered bl existinq t�es
or sewer charges imder the grovisions of Sec. 24-6.2(d)•
SECPION 7. This ordinanoe shall be in full foroe and effect from and after
