A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AhiENDING SECTIONS 27-54, 27-61,
27-62, 27-63, 27-64, 27-66(1) AND 27-70 OF THE OSHKOSH :fUNICIPAL CODE, ALL
PERTAIiVING TO LICENSING OF BZCYCLES IN THE CITY OF OSHKOSH.
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do o�dain as follows�
SECTION 1. That Section 27-59 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 27-59 Registration; Procedure.
Registr:ation shall oe made by filing an application w+_th the City
Clerk setting forth the name, date of birth, and address of [he owner,
together with a complete description of. the bicycle, and paying the
registration and license fee hereinaf2er provided. Each registration
shall be serially numbered and kept on file in the Office of the City
Clerk, and a copy thsreof furnished to the Police De�,artment. The
City Clerk shall keep a record of the date oE issuance of each license,
to whom issued, and the ninuber thereof. Upon sur_Y� registration, the
City Clerk shall issue a license sticker which shall be affixed to the
seat post mast of the bicycle. Such license sticker sha11 remain so
fixed to the bicycle unless removed by order of the Chief of Palice or
the municipal court for cause.
SECTION 2. That Sections 27-61, 27-62, 27-63, 27-64 of the Oshkosh
Municipal Code are hereby amended as follows:
The word "license plate" is h�reby amended to read "license sticker."
SECTION 3. That Section 7.7-66(1) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
(1) Displ� oF License St=cker
�ery bicycle when operated upon the roadway or highway sha11 have
in conspicuous display on the seat post mast of the bicycle a license
sticker issued for that bicycle. Location of the license sticker on any
other part of the bicycle shall be termed a violation of this ordinance.
SECTIOV 4. That Section 27-70 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining
to bicycle court is hereby amended by changing the reference of "license plate"
to read "license sticker."
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in iull force and efEect from and after
its passage an� date of publication.
