FROM: DETECTIVE BUREAU
RE: CHANGE IN CITY ORDINANCE 8-69 THRU 8-74.2
:
Dear Sir:
Because of the large increase in the value of gold and silver, and the
fact that it is now being stolen in the form of ewel:y and silverware
from the homes in Oshkosh, we would like the persons who buy gold and
silver in Oshkosh in the form of ewelry and silverware that is usually
melted down and not sold at retail, and consequently not covered by City
Ordinance 8-69, to be covered by this Ordinance and the record-keeping
requirements.
Respectfully,
MEN OF THE DET. BUREAU
