HomeMy WebLinkAbout31374 / 81-023'un� 4, 1981 � 2 RESOLUTION PIIRPOSE: IIvITIATED BY: FINAL RESOLIITION - ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHnREAS, the Comman Council of the City of Oshkosh held a public hearing on the 4th day of June 1'981 at 7:00 for the purpose of hearing aI1 interested persons concerni.ng th� prelimiaary resolutions and r�ports of the City Manager (BOard of Public Works) on the proposed improvements consisting of the asphaltic concrete paving with new curb and gutter and asphaltic concrete overlay - single pass operation with curb aad yutter and appurtenant work pursuant to resolution adopted on March 5, 1981 iay the Oshkosh Common Council of the following named streets: ASP��I.TIC CONCRETE PAVING WITH NEW CURB AND GUTTER AND APPURTENANT IbLD?:O"JEI�NTS OSC�OZ.A STREET - Warren Avenue to High Avenue .�,5?A�TIC CONCRETE OVERLAY - SINGLE PASS OPERATION WITH CURB 5 GUTTER REPAIR OSCEOLA STREET - HigH Avenue to Algoma Blvd. JEFFERSON STREET - Washington Avenue to East Parkway Avenue MOUNT VERNON STREET - Washington Avenue to Merritt Avenue CHERRY STREET - West Irving Avenue to West New York Avenue S�TEST 5TH AVENUE - Ohio Street to Knapp Street W'EST 4TH AVENUE - Ofiio Street to Knapp Street NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Csh;ccsh as Eol3ows: 1. That the report of the City Manager, acting as the Board of Public Works, pertaining to the construction of the above described public improvements, including plans and specification therefore, is hereby adopted and approved with the following modifications: a. b.. c. That the action of the City Manager in advertising for bids and to carry out the work of such improvements in accordance with the report of the City Manager and in accordance with the said resolutions heretofore adopted, is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed. - 2A - 3. That payment for said improvements be made by assessing the cost of the property benefited as indicated in said report, except as modified herein. 4. That the benefits and damages shown on the report as modified are *sue and co�rect and are hereby confirmed. 5. That the assessments for a11 projects included in said report are he=eby combined as a single assessment but any interested property owner shall be entitled to object to each assessment separately or bot.h assessmeats jointly for any purpose or purposes. 6. That the assessments may be paid in cash, or in installmeats pursuant to Section 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code. Said deferred payments to bear interest at the rate of eight percent (88? per annum on the unpaid balance. T�e City Clerk shall �ubZish ar. installment assessment notice in accordance with Section 66.54 (7) (e} of the Wisconsin Statutes for 1979 in tiie official newspaper of the City. 7. The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in the oi£icial newspaper of the City, the OSHKOSH DAILY NORTFiWESTERN. 8. The City Clerk is further directed to mail a copy of this resolution to every property owner whose name appears on the assessment roll whose post office address is known or can with reasonable diligence �e ascertained.
