HomeMy WebLinkAbout31887 / 82-13rr�y 20, i9a2 # 13 RESOLUTION PURPOSE: REPORTS OF LIQUOR LAW VIOLATIONS TO COUNCIL INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Oshkosh, pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin and the ordinances of the City of Oshkosh, is responsible for the initial granting of liquor licenses and tfie anaual renewal thereof, and WEiEREAS, in order to facilitate the Council's analysis of the liquor licenses and to make a determination as to renew or non-renew a particular ?icease, it *.rosZ3 he desira6Le ta have all information pertaining to liquor licenses issued by tfiis Council, and WHEREAS, in order to be better informed and make a reasoned judgment on renewal of liquor licenses, tfie City Council deems it necessary for the admin- istration to supply it with the following specific information, together with any other in�ormation the administration deems germane in the granting of liquor licenses: • 1. Any arrests dealing with licensed establishments as they pertaia to liquor licenses and/or liquor laws. 2. A follow-up on such arrests as to disposition of said arrests, whether they are found guilty, not guilty, or the case is dismissed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Co�on Council of the City of Oshkosh, that the City administration is hereby directed to prepare and submit to the City Council all arrest reports pertaining to any licensed establishment dealing with any and all violations of the liquor laws of either the State of Wisconsin or the City of Oshkosh. The City administration is further directed to provide the City Council with any otfier information which it deems would be of value to the City Council in evaluating the operation of a licensed establish- ment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these reports be submitted to the City Coµncll. as soon as practicable by tIie administration and further that if the administration feels in its judgment that a hearing ought to be held on any licensed establishment at any time during the license year then that information should be supplied to the City Council who will make a determination as to whe- ther a hearing will be held and when said hearing shall be held.
