PURPOSE: INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN
ItiITI�1TED BY: DEP�RTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows:
1. The Co�on Council hereby declares its intention to exercise its
power under Section 66.60 of the Wisconsin Statutes to levy special assess-
ments upon property within the following described area for benef3ts con-
ferred upon such property by improvement of the following named streets,
said public improvement shall consist of the installation of sanitary sewex
and wat_r sain as herzinafter liste3:
I. SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN
1. Fond du Lac Road from Chicago & North Westem Railroad tracks
to Waukau Avenue
2. Stoney Beach Road from Fond du Lac Road to Stoney Beach Avenue
3. Stoney Beach Avenue as platted in Wright's Subdivision
4. Stoney Beach Lane from Stoney Beach Road to 900 feet south of
Stoney Beach Road
5. Waukau Avenue from Fond du Lac Road to Lake Winnebago
6. All easements as described in attached Exhibit A.
II. WATER MAIN
Waukau Avenue from the west line of the Chicago 6 North Western
Railroad right-of-way to Fond du Lac Road.

the total cost of the improvement and the amount assessed against any par-
cel shall not be greater than the benefit accruing thereto from said
improvements.
3. The assessments against any parcel may be paid according to the
provisions of Section 25-83 through 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code.

4. The Board of Public Works is directed to prepare a report consisting
(a) Final plans and specifications for said improvements.
(b) An estimate of the entire cost of the improvements and laterals.
(c) An estimate as to each parcel of property within the assessment
district of:

(1) The assessment of benefits to be levied for each improvement.
(2) The damages to be awarded for property taken or damages by
each improvement.
(3) The nzt amount oi benefits over damages or oi damages over
benefzts for each improvement.
Upon completion of such report, the Board of Public Works is directed
to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk's office for public inspectioa.
5. IIpon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, �he City
Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such reports as
specified in Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. The hearing shall
be held by the Board of Public Works at the Council Chambers ia the City
Hall at a time set by the CIerk in accordance with Section 66.60(7) of the
Wisconsin Statutes.
6. The Wisconsin Public Service Corporation of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is
hereby required to install gas mains in said streets and service laterals at
such intervals as the Board of Public Works shall direct, said work to be
completed prior to the improvement of said street, the City Clerk shall for-
ward a certified copy of this resolution to said corporation forthwith.
7. The Board of Public Works and the proper City officials shall do
all things necessary so as to complete the installation of storm sewers in
said streets prior to the improvements thereof, if necessary.
8. The installation of said street improvements shall be accomplished
according to the provisions of Section 25-3 through 25-11 of the Oshkosh
Municipal Code.
