HomeMy WebLinkAbout31965 / 82-01July 1, 1982 ll 1 RESOLUTION PURPOSE: FINAL RESOLUTION - ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh held a public hearing on the lst day of July, 1982, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing all interested persons concerning the preliminary resolutions and reports of the City Manager (Board of Public Works) on the proposed improvements con- sisting of the portland cement concrete paving with concrete curb and gut- ter and appurtenant work pursuant to resolution adopted on February 18, 1982, by the Oshkash Coffion rotmcil of the follnwing named streets: ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING WETH NEW CURB AI�TD GUTTER 1. East .Tew York Avenue from North Main Street to Bowen Street 2. Vine Street from Aigh Avenue to Algoma Boulevard ASPHALTIC CONCRETE OVERLAY - SINGLE PASS OPERATION WITH CURB AND GUTTER 1. Vine Street from Algoma Boulevard to Elmwood Avenue NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows: 1. That the report of the City Manager, acting as the Board of Public Works, pertaining to the construction of the above described public improve- ments, including planc and specifications therefor, is hereby adopted and approved with the following modifications: a. b. C. 2. That the action of the City Manager in advertising for bids and to carry out the work of such improvements in accordance with the report of the City Manager and in accordance with the said resolutions heretofore adopted, is hereby approved, ratified, and confirmed. 3. That payment for said improvements be made by assessing the cost of the property benefits as indicated in said report, except as modified herein. 4. That the benefits and damages shown on the report as modified are true and correct and are hereby confirmed. �� July 1, 1982 //1 � Final Resolution � Portland Cement Continued 5. That the assessments for all projects included in said report are hereby combined as a single assessment, but any interested property owner shall be entitled to object to each assessment separately, or both assess- ments jointly, for any purpose or purposes. 6. That the assessments may be paid in cash or in installments pur- suant to Section 25-83 through 25-89 of the Oshkosh Munic3pal Code. Said deferred payments to bear interest at the rate of ten percent (10%) per ann� on the unpaid balance. The City Clerk shall puhlish an installment assessment notice in accordance with Section 66.54(7)(e) of the Wisconsin Statutes for 1980 in the official newspaper of the City. 7. The City Clerk is further directed to mail a copy of this resolu- tion to every property owner whose name appears on the assessment roll whose post off3ce address is known or can with reasonable diligence be ascertained.
