INITIAL RESOLCTI'ION FOR SANITARY SEwEA AND WATER P1AIY
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Co�on Council of the City of Oshkosh as follovs:
1. The Common Council hereby declares its 3ntention to exercise its
power under Section 56.50 of :he W3sconsin Statutes to levy special assess-
ments upon property within the following described area for benefiCS canferred
upon such property by improvement af the following named streets, said
public improvement shall consist of the installation of sanitary sewer and
water main as hereinafter listed:
A. SANITARY SEWER & WATER MAIN
South Washburn Street - from vacated Sadger Avenue to Ripon Road
. (S.T.H. 44)
Ripon Road (S.T.A. 44) - from South Washburn Street to 3100 feet
southwest of South Washburn Street
B. SANITARY SEWER, STORM SEFIER, WATER MAIN, GRADE 6 GRAVEL
Un-named street - from vacated Badger Avenue extended to Ripon
Road (S.T.H. 44)
C. WATER MAIN ONLY
Washburn Road - from S.T.H. 44 to Waukau Avenue
Waukau Avenue - from Washhurn Road to Poberezny Road
2. The total amount assessed against such district shall not exceed the
total cost of the improvement and the amount assessed against any parcel shall
not be greater than the benefit accruing thereto from said improvements.
3. The assessments against any parcei may be paid according to the
provisions of Section 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code.
4. The Board of Public Works is directed to prepare a report consist-
ing of:

(a) Final plans and specifications for said improvements.
(b) An estimate af the entire cost of the improvements and laterals.
(c) An estimate as to each parcel of property within the assessment
district of:
(1) The assessment of benefits to be levied for each improve-
ment.
(2) The damages to be awarded for properCy taken or damages by
each improvement.
(3) The net amount of benefits over damages or of damages
over benefits for each improvement.
Upon conpletion of sLCh report, the Soard of Public Works is directed
to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk's office for public inspection.
5. Upon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, ehe City
Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such reports as
specified in Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. The hearing shall
be held by the Board of Public Works at the Council Chambers in the City
Hall at a time set by tfie Clerk in accordance with Section 66.60(7) of the
Wisconsin Statutes.
6. The Wisconsin Public Service Corporation of Oshkosh, Wisconsin,
is hereby required to install gas mains in said streets and service laterals
at such intervals as the Board of Public Works shall direct, said work to
be completed prior to Che improvement of said street, the City Clerk
shall forward a certified copy of this resolution to said corporation
forthwith.
7. The Board of Public Works and the proper City Officials shall do
all things necessary so as to complete the installation of storm sewers
in said streets prior to the improvements thereof, if necessary.
S. The installation of said street improvements shall be accomplished
according to the prov3sions of Section 25-3 thru 25-21 of the Oshkosh
Municipal Code.
