HomeMy WebLinkAbout32034 / 82-02AAugust 5, 1982 IF ZA RESOLDTZON PURPOSE: FINAL RESOLUTION FOR GRADING AND GRAVELING INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WI3EREAS, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh held a public hearing on the Sth day of August, 1982, at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of hearing all interested persons concerning the preliminary resolutions and reports of the City Manager (Board of Public Works) on the proposed improvemen[s con- sisting of tfie grading and graveling and appurtenant work pursuane to reso- lutions adopted on June 17, 1982 and July 1, 1982, by the Oshkosh Co�on Council of the �allowing named streets: GRADING AND GRAVELING Nicolet Avenue - From Bowen Street to Harrison Street West 1t�elftIt Avenue - From 350 feet east of Mason Street t�-e-�� to Sawver Street ��- NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED by the Co�on Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows: 1. That the report of the City Manager, acting as the Board of Pnblic Works, pertaining to the construction of the above-described public improve- ments, including plans and specifications therefor, is hereby adopted and approved with the following modifications: a. b. c. 2. That the action of the City Manager in advertising for bids and to carry out the work of such•improvements in accordance with the report of the City Manager and in accordance with tfie said resolutions heretofore adopted, is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed. 3. That payment for said iaprovements be made by assessing the cost of the property benefits as indicated in said report, except as modified herein. 4. That the benefits and damages shown on the report as modified are true and correct and are hereby confirmed. 5. That the assessments for all projects included in said report are hereby combined as a single assessment, but any interested property owner shall be entitled to object to each assessment separately or both assess- ments jointly for any purpose or purposes. - 1 - � August 5, 1982 li 2A Final Resolution Grading S Graveliag 6. That the assessments may be paid in cash, or in installments pur- suant to Sec[ion 25-83 and 25-8R of the Oshkosh Munici�pal Code. Sai.d de- ferred payments to bear interest at the rate of ten percent (10�L) per annum on the unpaid balance. The City Clerk shall publish an installment assess- ment notice in accordaace with Section 66.54(7)(e) of ehe Wisconsin Statutee for 1980 in the official newspaper of the City. 7. The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in the offi� cial newspaper of the City, the OSHKOSH DAILY NORTHWESTERN. 8.
