Home My WebLink About32155 / 82-09Novemher 4, 1982 li4 RESOLUTION PURPOSE: INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BE IT RESOLVED by the Co�on Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows: 1. The Common Council hereby declares its intention to exercise 3es power under Section 66.60 of the Wisconsin Statutes to levy special assess- ments upon property within the following described area for benefits conferred upon such property by improvement of the following named streets, said pub- lic improvement shall consist of the installation of sanitasp se�rer and vater main as hereinafter listed: SANITARY SEWER & WATER MAIN Ripon Lane, from West 20th Avenue south 460 feet 2. The total amount assessed against such district shall not exceed the total cost of the improvement and the amount assessed against any parcel shall not be greater than the benefit accruing thereto from said improvements. 3. The assessments against any parcel may be paid according to [he provisions of Section 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code. 4. The Board of Public Works is directed to prepare a repozt consisting of: (a) Final plans and specifications for said improvements. (b) An estimate of the entire cost of the improvements and laterals. (c) An estimate as to each parcel of property within the assessment district of: (1) The assessment of benefits to be levied for each improve- ment. (2) The damages to be awarded for property taken or damages by each i�prevexent. (3) The net amount of benefits over damages or of damages over benefits for each i.mprovement. Upon completion of such report, the Board of Public Works is directed to file a copy therzof in the City Clerk's office for public inspection. 5. Upon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, the City Clerk is directed to give notice oi a puolic hearing on such reports as specified in Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. The hearing shall be held by the Board of Public Works at the Council Chambers in the City Hall 3 a time set by the Clerk in accordance with Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. .. . The Wisconsia Public Service Corporation of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is hereby required to install gas mains in said streets and service Iaterals at such intervals as the Board of Public Works shall direct, said work to De com- pleted prior to the improvement of said street, the City Clerk shall f�ward a certified copy of tfiis resolution to said corporation forthwith. 7. The Board of Public Works and the proper City officials shall do all things necessary so as to complete the installation of storm sewers ia said streets prior to the improvements thereof, if necessary. 8. The installation of said street improvements shall be accompiished according to the provisions of Section 25-3 thru 25-11 of the Oshkosh ffiunicipal Code.
