ORDINANCE

PURPOSE: PARKING METER RATES, PAYMENT OF FINES,
REMOVAI OF LERTAIN TWELVE MINUTE METERS
INITIATED BY: PARKING UTILITY COMMISSION
A GENERAL ORDINANLE OF THE CtTY OF OSHKOSH AMENDIN6 SECTION 27-44 PERTAINING
TO PARKING METER RATES: SECTION 27^48 PERTAtNING TO PAYMENT OF FINES AND TIME
LIMITS; AND SECTION 27-31 (A-3) PERTAINING TO iWfLVE MINUTE METERS.
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION I. That Section 27-44 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to
parking meter rates is hereby amended as follows:
Delete Tfierefrom:
(A) Five ($.OS) Cents per hour areas.
Five ($.05) Cents per hour on the following designated streets and lots:

SECTION 2. That Section 27-54 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to
the Municipal Parking Ramp is hereby amended as follows:
Delete Theref
(A) The following descrihed city owned parking ramp is hereby designated
and established as a parking meter zone for parking up to twenty-four
(24} hour periods and such shorter periods of time for such portions
of the ramp as the needs of parking of vehicles requires, as deemed
advisable from time to time by the City Manager. The rate for parking on
the municipal parking ramp is Ten Cents ($0.10) per hour with the exception
of the meters on Ramp 8 which shali be Five Cents ($0.05) Per hour.
Add Thereto:

SECTION 3• That Section 27-54.1 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to
ten hour metered city owned parking lots is hereby amended as follows:

meters at 5e per hour.
(D) The westerly metered stalls in the Jefferson Street lot which abut
Jefferson Street - 10 hour meters at $.05 per hour.

Soo Line East Parking Lot - all meters facing Algoma Boulevard and the
13 meters wfiich are located fran Algoma Boulevard to 119 feet north thereof
and adjacent to the Soo Line Tracks shall be changed from 2-hour parking
at l0E per hour to 10-hour parking at 5� per hour.
Add Thereto:
(C) All metered stalls on the east end of Elk's Club Parking Lot - 10 hour
meters at 10� per hour.
(D) The westerly metered stalis in the Jefferson Street lot which abut
Jefferson Street -10 hour meters at $.10 per hour.
(E) Soo Line East Parking Lot - all meters facing Algoma Boulevard and
the 13 meters which are located from Algoma Boulevard to 119 feet
north tRereof and adjacent to the Soo Line Tracks shall be 10-hour
parking at l0E per hour,
SECTIoN 4. That Section 27-54.3 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining
to the West th Avenue Parking Lot is hereby amended as follows:
Delete Therefran:
(A) The east ten (10� stalls shall be 2-hour parking meters at 5E per hour.
Add Thereto:
(Aj The east ten (10) stalls shall be 2-hour parking meters at 10� per hour.
SELTION 5. That Section 27-48 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to
payment of fines and time limits is hereby repealed and recreated to read as
follows:
Each ow�er or operator shall within 120 hours after 6:00 p.m. of the
day of the violation pay to the city as a penalty for and in full satis-
faction of such violation, the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00). Each such
owner or operator shall after said 120 hour period pay a penalty of Five
Dollars ($5•00). The failure of such owner or operator to make such pay-
ment shall render s��ch a.Ur,er or operator subject to the penalties herein-
after provided for violation of the provisions of this section. Each time
a designated parking period limit is exceeded even though such excesses
shall be consecutive, shall constitute a separate violation.
SECTION 6. That Section 27-31 �A-3, C-1) oP the Oshkosh Municipal Code per-
taining to twelve minute meters is here6y amended as follows:
Delete therefrom:
Waugoo Avenue
Two meters on the north side of Waugoo Avenue from a point 105
feet east of North Main Street westerly a distance of 48 feet.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and date of publication.
