Home My WebLink About32388 / 83-10' May 5, 1983 # 10 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: INITIAL RESOLUTION - 1983 SEALCOATING PROGRAM INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the 1983 Sealcoating Program for the city streets, as shown on the attached list, is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the abutting and benefited property be charged for the cost of such work as a special charge for current services under Section 66.60(6) of the Wisconsin Statutes but not more than Fifty-eight cents (58E) per front foot for streets and Twenty-nine Cents (29�) per front foot for alleys. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby author- ized and directed to schedule public hearings before the Common Council con- cerning this matter and shall publish a notice of said hearings in the offi- cial City newspaper at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of said hearings. A copy of such notices shall be mailed to every interested person whose post office address is known or can, with reasonable diligence, be ascertained at least ten (10) days before the hearings. Such notice shall specify that on a certain date hearings will be held by the Common Council as to whether the ser- vice in question shall be performed at the cost of the property owner, but at a cost of not more than Fifty-eight cents (58E) per front foot for streets and Twenty-nine cents (29�) per front foot for alleys.
