HomeMy WebLinkAbout32559 / 83-09! . 1 ' August 4, 1983 ll 9 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE INTERIOR DESIGN PROPOSAL FOR OSHKOSH CONFERENCE CENTRE INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an appro- priate agreement with the Contract Service Associates for interior design of the Oshkosh Conference Centre, all in accordance with their proposals submitted July 25, 1983. Hansche, AIA Reinke, Hansche, Last, Inc., Architects 805 North Main Street Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901 RE: Interior Design Proposal - Oshkosh Conference Centre Uear Sir: On July 15, 1983, members of our firm met with your selected architectural representatives to discuss the Oshkosh Conference Centre project. We discussed our company's potential opportunity to provide interior design and procurement services for this project due to our previous selection as interior design agent for the new Radisson Osfikosh Hotel. We were asked to provide a proposal for your consideration to handle all interior design/procurement requirements necessary to turnkey this project. Our proposal is outlined as follows: PHASE I - DESIGN CSA, Inc. proposes to supply complete interior design services including detailed specifications, working drawings, and design administration to the Oshkosh Conference Centre project for an hourly, not to exceed fee of $47,500. This would include full kitchen design services and complete coordination with your selected architects and the Radisson Hotel Management Company. We would design to a mutually agreed to budget and work closely with the Owner to program an acceptable Tevel of quality and operational efficiency. I have �ttached a copy of our published hourly fee schedule for your review. We would provide a listing of all employees assigned to this pro.ject and their levels prior to beginniny the work. CSA, Inc. would require a$5,000 retainer upon contract execution. PHASE II - PROCUREMENT/INSTALLATION SUPERVISION CSA, Inc. would propose to bid on the entire interior package on an installed basis. Under this scenario, CSA, Inc. would buy-out the entire design package and install same on the Owner's schedule for a fixed and guaranteed price based on the completed design documents and on a competitive and open bid basis, or: r-� l � I L�sdNwG�m('orywmes - 9A - RESOLUTION # 9 July 25, 1983 City of Oshkosh c/o Ronald D. Hansche, AIA Page 2 CSA, Inc. would propose to be the Owner's procurement/ installation supervision agent for purchasing, expeditina and installing the total interior program. CSA, Inc. would release purchase commitments on behalf of the Owner as its agent and the Owner would be responsible for paying all vendors and contractors on a direct basis. CSA, Inc. would computerire all procurement activity, process and batch all payment requests for the (haner's review and would schedule and coordinate the installation schedule with the General Contractor. CSA, Inc. would supply this service for a 5% fee based on the actual cost of the interior and installation program. As you know, we are the interior design arm for the Radisson Hotel Corooration, but we also have vast experience in the architectural and construction industries.
