HomeMy WebLinkAbout32608 / 83-24+ October 6, 1983 #24 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE GRANT AGREEMENT WITH WISCONSIN ARTS BOARD � INITIATED BY: GRAND OPERA HOUSE BOARD WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Arts Board has given the City of Oshkosh a$5,000 grant for the rehabilitation of the Grand Opera House; and WHEREAS, to receive this grant, the City of Oshkosh must match the grant amount of $5,000; and WHEREAS, to receive this grant the City must execute a Grant Agreement outlining the policies of the Wisconsin Arts Board, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council o£ the City o£ Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the following attached Grant Agreement with the Wisconsin Arts Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the matchinq funds are hereby appropriated from Account No. 316-105 - Grand Opera House Fund. SUI3b1ITTED BY APPROVED —27— RESOLUlION �k24 Grant Agreement: Project and Public Service Activity Grant agreement between the WISCONSIN ARTS BOARp (grantor) and City of Oshkosh 215 Church Avenue, Oshkosh, WI 54901 (grantee) . in consideration of a grant for $ 5, 000. 00 , the grantee agrees to engage in an arts project and a public service activity as represented in application no. 4901-CO0-4V and supporting documents, with a starting date of �-1-83 and an ending date of 6-30-84 . The grantee assures that: {1) If an organization, it has dufy adopted a resolution, motion or has taken similar action designating the under- signed person to act as an authorizing official of the grantee for the purpose of executing this agreement. (2) For the purpose of making audit, examination, excerpts, or transcripts, it will give the United States, the State of Wisconsin, the Arts Board or any authorized representative thereof access to and the right to examine all records, books, papers or documents maintained to account for funds received and expended under the terms of this grant. (3) Within sixty (60) days from the completion of the grant, it will submit to the Arts Board a final narrative and financial report on the results of the grant. (4) It will attempt to insure that, in all published materials and announcements for the arts project, notice be made that "This project is supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts." (5) It will attempt to send to the Arts Board, 123 West Washington Avenue, Madison, Wisco�sin 53702, copies of all published materials, announcements, and any reviews or articles regarding this arts project. (6) When requested by the Arts Board, it will provide advance notice of the project's public events so that Arts Board representatives may attend, without charge,for evaluation purposes. (7) It will request written approval from the Arts Board should there be any need to change the grant budget ap- proved in the application. (8) It will return any unused portion of the grant funds if ihe project does not take place or if the Arts Board funds are not fully expended. (9) If it fails to comply with any of the provisions of this agreement, the Arts Board may terminate the agreement upon thirty (30) days written notice to the grantee, without further obligation on the part of the Arts Board. , WISCONSIN ARTS BQqRD i�aww.vr�;,t�r, s�t.
