A GENERAL ORDINA6ICE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTION 30-18(B)(4) OF THE
OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO NUR5ING HOMES
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 30-18(B)(4) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code is
hereby amended as follows:
Delete "nursing homes" from:

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
DISTRICTS
Municipal Buildings Buildings may occupy not over R-lA, R-1B, R-2,
churches, nursing homes 40 percent of lot and must be R-3, R-4
museums, art centers, setback an additional one foot
community centers over the usual yard requirements
for each one foot the building
exceeds usual height limits.
Add the following new permit:
USE SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Nursing homes, includinq
but not limited to those
incorporating accessory
retirement communities
which are owned and con-
trolled by the owners and
operators of the nursing
home.
a. Buildings may occupy not over
40 percent of lot and must be
be setback an additional one
foot over the usual yard
requirements for each one foot
the building exceeds usual
height limits.
b. Retirement community residency
shall be provided only to per-
sons who are 55 years of age
or over and couples where either
the husband or wife is 55 years
of age or over.
c. 3,000 sq. ft. of lot area shall
be provided for each unit in the
R-1B and R-2 districts. Density
in R-3 and R-4 shall comply with
the requirements o£ the existing

district classification. The
site area utilized to determine
density shall include only that
portion of the site designated
for retirement unit construction.
d_ Retirement community unit parkinq
requirement: one (1) off-street
parking space shall be provided
for each unit.
e. Nursing home parking requirement:
one (11 off-street parking space
shall be provided for each 2 beds.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and date of publication.
