A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH ADDING SECTIONS 30-41(I) and 30-42(C)(8)
TO THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO STREET LIGATING
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 30-41(I) pertaining to street lighting plan is
hereby created to read as follows:
(I) Street Lighting Plan
In order to ensure proper street lighting within a subdivision,
a street lighting plan shall be submitted at the time of pre-
liminary plat review. The street lighting plan shall include
the location of all street illumination structures and shall
specify the type of street lighting to be provided. Prior to
submitting the street lighting plan, the subdivider should
consult with Wisconsin Public Service Corporation and with the
Director of Public Works for the City of Oshkosh. Prior to
review of a preliminary plat by the Plan Commission, the Dir-
ector of Public Works for the City of Oshkosh shall approve
all street lighting plans.
To ensure compliance with the approved street lighting plan, a
covenant shall be included on the face of the final plat referring
to the street lighting plan and requiring compliance within.
SECTION 2. That Section 30-42(C)(8) pertaining to street lighting is
hereby created to read as follows:
(8) Street Lighting. The Subdivider shall cause street lights as
specified in the approved street lighting plan to be installed
in order to adequately illuminate the subdivision.
The subdivider shall assume the cost of installing all street
lights as specified in the approved street lighting plan exclu-
sive o£ that portion, if any, absorbed by the Wisconsin Public
Service Corporation. This section shall apply to all plats
located in the City of Oshkosh and within the City's three mile
extra-territorial plat approval area.
SECTION 3. That the existing Section 30-42(C)(8) shall be renumbered
to Section 30-42(C)(9).
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
its passage and date of publication.
