PURPOSE: AMEND POLICY WITH REGARD TO SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, SEWER AND WATER MAINS, LATERALS
AND EXCEPTIONS THERETO
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the
schedule of Special Assessments for street improvements chazged against bene-
fited property shall be amended as follows:

Portland cement concrete pavement,
and asphaltic concrete pavement with
concrete curb and gutter for
pavements 36 feet wide or greater:
Asphaltic concrete resurfacing on
streets with existing concrete curb
and gutter based on a 36 foot or
greater width of resurfacing and a
one-pass resurfacing operation:
Asphaltic concrete resurfacing with
new concrete curb and gutter based
on a 36 foot or greater width:
Grading and Graveling:
$21.20 per lineal foot on each
side of the street, less any
assessment previously paid for
grading and graveling, broken down
as follows: $6.80 for curb costs
and $14.40 for portland cement con-
crete pavement.
$6.60 per lineal foot on each
side of the street, broken down
as follows: $2.20 for curb &
gutter repair and $4.40 for street
resurfacing.
$14.20 per lineal foot on each
side of the street for concrete
and gutter broken down as follows:
$7.48 for curb and gutter and
$6.72 for street resurfacing.
$6.00 per lineal foot on each side
of the street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there are the following exceptions:
5. For any corner lots, the assessment rate shall be 50% of the long side
as platted, up to a maximum deduction of 75 lineal feet, plus 100% of
the short side of the lot as platted.
6. For any lot 200 feet or less in depth abutting on two streets, the
assessment rate shall be reduced 50% at the rear lot line.
7. For streets with portland cement concrete or asphaltic concrete pave-
ment, when the width of the pavement is less than 36 feet, the pave-
ment portion of the assessment rate shall be reduced proportionately
to account for the lesser width of the pavement.

8. For asphaltic concrete resurfacing on streets with existing concrete
curb and gutter, when the width of the pavement is less than 36 feet,
the assessment rate shall be reduced proportionately to account for
the lesser width of the pavement.
9. For asphaltic concrete resurfacing with new concrete curb and gutter,
when the pavement is less than 36 feet, the resurfacing portion of the
assessment rate shall be reduced proportionately to account for the
lesser width of the pavement.
10. The assessable footage for cul-de-sac lots shall be calculated along
the 25 foot setback line of each lot, the rates per lineal foot being
the same as in No. 1 thru 5 above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of sewer and water mains and laterals is
hereby amended as follows:

$0.060 per square foot.
$0.065 per square foot.
$600.00 per lateral, but laterals larger
than 4 inches for sewer and 1 inch for
water shall be assessed at the estimated
cost.
