BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the proper
City officials are hereby authorized to enter into and take those steps necessary to
implement an appropriate professional services agreement with AECOM Technical

Washburn Area Detention Basin in the amount of one hundred sixty-two thousand five
hundred seventy dollars ($162,570.00)

RE: Agreement for Engineering Services for Construction Management for 9`" & Washburn Area
Detention Basin / AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) ($162,570)
BACKGROUND
The Department of Public Works requested a proposal from AECOM to provide construction-related services
associated with the construction of the 9'" & Washburn Area Wet Detention Basin. These construction-related
services will include, but are not limited to: daily construction observation and oversight, review of contractor
submittals, construction materials testing and documentation, and preparation of as-built construction drawings.
AECOM will also provide services related to any civil or geotechnical engineering issues which may arise during
the construction of the project.
ANALYSIS
AECOM was chosen due to their experience with the 9�" & Washburn Area Wet Detention Basin, the Campbell
Creek Watershed, and their vast experience in performing these types of services for the City.
FISCAL IMPACT
The proposed fee is not to exceed $162,570. Funding for these services is included in the 2015 Capital
Improvement Program.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Chapter 12 of the Municipa/ Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a specialized
nature, including engineering services, may be procured without the use of formal, sealed quotes. I have
reviewed the proposal and in accordance with Section 12-16 of the Code, I am hereby recommending that the
Common Council approve this agreement.
