One of these traffic offenses is License/Permit Restriction Violat3ons, ss. 343.43(1)(d). This offense no longer requires that a long form criminal traffic complaint be filed. Consequently our office does not require a copy of the citation on this offense as it is a Section I forfei-[ure offense, Uniform Wisconsin Bond Schedule, and the initial appearance date for this offense should be for Mondays before Bruce Schmidt, Court Commissioner. We wuuld oniy requlre a copy of the citation if thz defendant entzrs a not guilty plea and a trial is set. Also, as a reminder and review of office policy, our office does not receive any Section I, Uniform Wisconsin Bond Schedule Traffic Offenses, all of which should be given court dates for Mondays before the Court Commissioner, Bruce Schmidt. The appropriate court officer should be present on these Monday initial appearance dates to note the dispositions on their citations. Our office should only be receiving these cita[ions after the defendants make their initial appearance and a not guilty plea has been entered and a trial is set.
