Dear Council Members,
JUNE 22 &237985
OSH KOSH
a
The Oshkosh Jaycees and the Otter Street Fishing Club have again
joined iorces to sponsor tne Second Annuai WALLEYE-FEST scheduled
for June 22 & 23 at Millers Bay in Menominee park. The walleye
tournament segment of the festival is under the supervision of the
Otter Street club and the family festival is operated by the Jay-
cees.
7he event has been extended this year to include the sponsorship
of a national walleye fishing circuit. Over 250 fisherman from
the midwest region-.v{ill be competing. We would like to point out
that the profits from the event are retained by both of the service
clubs to be used within the community.
With this in mind the Oshkosh Jaycees have applied for a Special
Class B license. The Jaycees are the exclusive vendors for the
event.
Since the Jaycees have been 9ranted a Special Class B license in
the past, we are familar with the requirements of the Municipal
Code. We have always complied with the beer garden provision and
we have taken special care to police-our sales and have prevented
sales to minors. '
We are certain that our operation of a festival serving fermented
malt beverages will again run as smoothly as in the past. Our
record of no disturbances speaks for itself.
We have attached for your examination an a9enda of events along
with a map detailing the areas we intend to occupy.
We are confident that after your examination of the agenda you
will agree that WALLEYE-FES7 will be a family event that the
City of Oshkosh can be proud of.
Yours Truly
Keith C. Pollnow
