HomeMy WebLinkAbout33697 / 8516DECEMBER 5, 1986 RESOLUTION #16 (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PORPOSE: CONTINUE TO CONTRACT WITH THE OSHROSA CITY CAB COMPANY TO PROVIDE SERVICE FOR EXISTING DIAL-A-RIDE SERVICE FOR PERSONS AGE 66+ IN OSHROSH (THIS INCLUDED THE SPECIAL RATE FOR PERSONS AGE 60+ WHO USE CAB-U-LANCE, A SERVICE FOR HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS) INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT wHEREAS: The City of Oshkosh has contracted with Oshkosh City Cab Company for a"Dial-A-Ride" transit service for older adults age 60 and over in the City of Oshkosh, and WHEREAS: Oshkosh City Cab Company has been negotiated with to continue in 1986 with the same subsidy rate for the regular cab service ($.76 per one way ride) and $3.50 for each one way Cab-u-lance ride, and wHEREAS: Funds to support this service come from: State Transportation funds in the amount of $20,549, user contributions of $4600 and City of Oshkosh funds in the amount of $12,051 ($10,651 with the $2006 cut in the budget). The $12,051 figure would have been an increase of 5321 over the contribution by the city in 1985. Users of the service would be contributing $.16 for each ticket used, rather than the $.65 contributed this year. This will bring in an additional $2300 over 1985's program contribution amount, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Contract for Dial-A-Ride services between Oshkosh City Cab Company and the City of Oshkosh be extended for a period of one year, com- mencing on January 1, 1986 on the same terms, dis- counted rates and conditions as in the 1985 extension, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the cost for the individual Dial-A- Ride tickets shall be increased from $.05 to $.19 each, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that money for this purpose is appropri- ated from account ��76-561- Committee on Aging- Dial-A-Ride. Other funds are received from State Transportation funds and program income to subsi- dize this service. � �unmltl'L�'D BY APPROVED �C ���c'��� �i ' ��-cyr�' RESOLUTION # 16 EXTENSION OF CONTRACT Between WINNEBAGO COUNTY and OSHKOSH DIAL-A-RIDE This extension of contract is by and between Winnebago County, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY," party of the first part, and Oshkosh Dial-A-Ride, hereinafter referred to as "RECIPIENT," party of the second part, and for the period from January 1, 1986 to December 31, 1986. For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, COUNTY and RECIPIENT agree to extend the contract entered into by the parties on December 31, 1979, as amended, except as hereinafter provided: SECTION I: RESPONSIBILITIES OF RECIPIENT A. RECIPIENT agrees to use monies provided through this CONTRACT to undertake a service program to older adults generally as described in the Winnebago County-Committee on Aging Projeet Proposal - 1986 and the Winnebago County Plan and Budget for Older Adult Services - 7986, which are hereby incorporated by reference into this CONTRACT. - 18a- n r'-� C i� RESOLUTION # 16 SECTION II: BUDGET AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES COUNTY agrees to provide RECIPIENT funding in the amount�of $20,549.00 of State of Wisconsin funds. COUNTY agrees to provide RECIPIENT funding in the amount of -0- of County funds. RECIPIENT agrees to provide $12,051.00 Cash Match and $1,800.00 In-Kind Match to be applied as a matching share to Federal and State funds. Cash Match and In-Kind Match shall be applied toward the cost of older adult program(s) funded through this CONTRACT. RECIPIENT may in no case obligate Federal, State, or County monies provided through this CONTRACT beyond December 31, 1986.
