P.E: PROPOSAL FOR PREPARATION OF SPECIFICATIONS AND INSPECTIONS ON TWO (2)
ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TANKS
Gentlemen,
Enclosed for your review is a revised proposal to prepare specifications and
provide inspection seroices on the 1.25 million gallon Hydropillar and the
750,C00 gallen Mu1ti-legged tanks. The specifications would include the
followiag:
A. 1.25 Million Gallon Hydropillar
1. Interior repaint excluding roof
2. Touch-up dry interior
3. Installation of a rope type fa11
prevention device
B. 750,000 Gallon Multi-legged
i. Exterior repaint - 3/Coat polyurethane
2. Fill pipe extension and deflector
3. Touch-up riser coating
4. Install fall prevention on leg ladder
5. Install a frost free mud valve
6. Extend overflow to ground level
An alternate bid will be r2quested for Spra-Safe coating on the 750,000 gallon
tank.
The proposed inspection services are to cover periodic visits on each tank,
coordinate the inspec[ions and process the reports. This fee differs from that
which we originally stated (6.5% of estiated project cost) because of the
ability of your personnel to provide a daily watch of the work being done. Two
items not included in our proposal is the rental oE a paint thickness guage and
surface thermometer. These items are available at a rate of $ 35.00 per month
during the project progress. Overall the savings on field inspections could result
in approximately $ 3,000.00.
If you have any questions on this proposal, please feel free to contact our office.
